Abstract: A manual for health professionals, teachers, and home economists provides basic information and practical guidelines for promoting growth and detecting malnutrition in children. The diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of nutrition-related diseases such as protein-calorie malnutrition, iron-deficiency anemia, vitamin A deficiency, and diarrhea in young children are discussed.
